A Study on the Home Nursing Service about Nursing Need, Acceptability and Attitude


Abstract
This study was performed to investigate the necessity, exceptive effect, acceptability, attitude of home nursing service. The data were collected by using a questionnaire. The subjects consisted with 125 patients and those helpers hospitalized at Chungnam National University Hospital, had known of ho me nursing service.
The results were as follows
1. About necessity of the home nursing service, 90.9% of patient group and 85.7% of helper group gave a highest affirmative answer to need for the increase of sickbed turnover.
2. About exceptive effect of the home nursing service, 98.4% of the subjects gave a highest affirmative answer to expect for maintaining of the treatment and nursing care.
3. About utilization of the home nursing service, 74.5% of patient group and 87.1% of helper group answered to make use of it when applicated medical insurance but 9.1 % of patient group and 4.3%c of helper group answered to make use of it whether applicated medical insurance or not.
4. About doctor¢¥s early discharge order, 81.8% of patient group and 88.6% of helper group answered would willingly do it.
5. About attitude for the home nursing service, 40.8% of subjects wanted to manage at hospital, 88.8% of those wanted to provide by nurse and doctor, 33.6% of those wanted supportive nursing care, 55.2% of those wanted periodic visiting.
6. The order of need of home nursing service were religious need, social need, mental need, and physical need.
Need of home nursing service according to general characteristics were high in professional and student by occupation, no religion, single, women, nuclear family, and etc.
